After having signed their Slovakian defender Jan Tabacek to a one-year extension, the ZSC Lions already have four import-players on their roster. However, as Tabacek is also supposed to suit up for the GCK Lions, ZSC is still looking to sign another import-player.
As HeShootsHeScoores.com reports, they could already have found what they are looking for in Jamie McBain. So far, the 26-year-old has played 275 games in the NHL and scored 25 goals and 92 points. Last season, he played for the Buffalo Sabres (17 points in 69 games), but had not been offered a contract extension.
If this rumor should prove to be true, it would almost certainly mean that Steve McCarthy won’t be back in Zurich for the upcoming season. The Lions have been in talks about a contract extension with the 33-year-old defenseman.
