The KHL will be represented by HC Dinamo Minsk and Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg. Furthermore, Extraliga team Mountfield HK will take part in the tournament for the first time. The 90th edition of the traditional tournament will take place from December 26 to December 31, as usual. (mso)

As HC Davos announces, the teams for the 2016 edition of the Spengler Cup have been determined. Apart from HCD, HC Lugano, two KHL teams, one Czech team and Team Canada will participate.
