In the preliminary round, the overtime will still be five minutes long, but will be played with a three-on-three format, if still tied, followed by a three-round shootout.

At the knockout stage (except for the final), the players have ten minutes (four-on-four) to score the game winner, before the game goes into a five-round shootout. The final will see a twenty minute overtime period (five-on-five) and - if still tied - a five-round shootout. (mso)
