Swiss National Team

NATIONAL TEAM - Glen Hanlon has decided who will still be on Switzerland's roster for the fourth preparation week. Eight players did not make the cut. However, nine new players will join the squad for the games against France.

Christoph Bertschy (SC Bern), Benjamin Conz (HC Fribourg-Gottéron), Etienne Froidevaux (Lausanne HC), Joel Genazzi (Lausanne HC), Larri Leeger (Lausanne HC), Lino Martschini (EV Zug), Raffaele Sannitz (HC Lugano) and Dominik Schlumpf (EV Zug) all did not manage to fully convince Hanlon and thus will have to leave the squad.

On the other hand, Reto Berra (Colorado Avalanche), Mark Streit (Philadelphia Flyers), Andres Ambühl, Felicien Du Bois, Leonardo Genoni, Dino Wieser (all HC Davos), Patrick Geering, Reto Schäppi and Morris Trachsler (all ZSC Lions) will join the team for the next stage of the preparation.

Thus the roster for week four of the preparation for the World Championship in Prague reads as follows:

Goaltender (3) : Reto Berra (Colorado Avalanche NHL), Leonardo Genoni (HC Davos), Daniel Manzato (HC Lugano).

Defenseman (8) : Eric Blum (SC Bern), Felicien Du Bois (HC Davos), Patrick Geering (ZSC Lions), Robin Grossmann (EV Zug), Timo Helbling (HC Fribourg-Gottéron), Dean Kukan (Luleå HF), Romain Loeffel (Genève-Servette HC), Mark Streit (Philadelphia Flyers).
