MRI confirms groin injury for RJ Lakers' goaltender Ivars Punnenovs
MEDICAL REPORT - Ivars Punnenovs had to quit last Tuesday's game shortly before the end of the second period following a crash with SCB's Berger. Yesterday's MRI has confirmed a groin injury for the 20-year-old Latvian netminder.
>There are still further examinations needed in order to determine the extact time of recovery. According to the Südostschweiz, however, the Rapperswil-Jona Lakers expect Punnenovs to be sidelined for several weeks and will thus look for a temporary replacement. (rlu)
