The 32-year-old sustained the injury during the game of the Swiss Ice Hockey Cup against the SCL Tigers on Monday, Der Bund reports. Team manager Sven Leuenberger was already looking for a replacement - but did not succeed.
Still according to Der Bund, forward Christoph Bertschy might help out in SCB's defensive department until Christmas. Moreover, a comeback of Philippe Furrer, who suffered from a thigh injury, seems to be possible.
