Just after last night's 5-3 win against the Islanders, the Montreal Canadiens have called up the 22-year-old Swiss forward Sven Andrighetto from their AHL-affiliate team, the St. John's IceCaps.

The native of Sumiswald, who was drafted by the Habs as 86th overall back in 2013, has appeared in 17 games for the IceCaps this season, in which he put up six goals and nine assists for a total of 15 points.

With Torrey Mitchell placed on injured reserve, Andrighetto might probably make his NHL season debut Sunday night, when the Canadiens will be facing the New York Islanders once again. (rlu)

UPDATE Unless there are no last-minute changes to the starting lineup, Sven Andrighetto is indeed set to make his NHL season debut for the Montreal Canadiens against the New York Islanders tonight. He will play on the second line with Eller and Galchenyuk. (rlu) - 22 November 2015, 5:19 PM
