Three years after the 21-year-old has been drafted by the Minnesota Wild in the sixth round, he will try his luck overseas. In an interview with Der Bund at the beginning of the month, Bertschy said that he is going to be patient: "I think I will have to play one or two years in the AHL and I am going to give me this time, that is for sure."

This season, the native of Fribourg has completed a total of 51 games for SC Bern in which he scored 15 goals and added 18 assists for 33 points. (tme)
