NHL - As players' agent Georges Müller informs on Twitter, the Colorado Avalanche have signed Reto Berra to a three-year contract extension. He will make his debut for Colorado soon.

It was speculated during the last couple of days that the Colorado Avalanche are planning their future with Reto Berra as backup goalie behind starting goalie Semyon Varlamov. Current backup Jean-Sebastien Giguère will probably retire at the end of the season.

Now, players' agent Georges Müller has confirmed on Twitter, that Reto Berra has signed a three-year contract extension with the team of head coach and goalie legend Patrick Roy.

Reto Berra will make his debut for the Colorado Avalanche on Wednesday, March 19, against the Winnipeg Jets. So far he has been practicing with Colorado's goalie-coaches.

Update March 15 3:28 pm: According to the Denver Post, Reto Berra and the Colorado Avalanche have agreed to a $4.35 million, three-year contract extension.
